About Artist
Amanda Colleen Williams is an awarded singer songwriter entrepreneur with songs on albums certified at 17 million sales by the Recording Industry Association of America®.
As daughter of Nashville Songwriter Hall of Fame Member Kim Williams (“Three Wooden Crosses” Randy Travis, “Ain’t Goin’ Down Till the Sun Comes Up” Garth Brooks), Williams has experienced two generations of the music industry first hand.
Upon graduating from college in Boston with a magna cum laude degree in Music Business and Management, she returned to Nashville to pursue her career in 1999, the year Napster turned the industry on its head.
After successful publishing deals at Sony, Magic Mustang and other independents in Nashville, Williams founded her own publishing company in 2010 to house her original song copyrights.
At the same time, she began homeschooling her twins and building an online resource for aspiring professional songwriters called Songpreneurs.
Along the way, Williams hosted a successful weekly songwriters night in Nashville called Blue Monday, served as independent casting consultant for television shows including Can You Duet on USA Network and CMT’s Next Superstar, and performed for world dignitaries at Ambassador Andrew Young’s birthday galas in Atlanta.
After overcoming breast cancer, Amanda’s return to the stage earned her the Artist of the Year Award by the independent group Nashville Industry Music Awards for her one woman show titled A Story of Love.
As a one woman army, Amanda owns three successful businesses including a private events venue in Nashville called The 7695, an educational and consulting resource for songwriter entrepreneurs called Songpreneurs, and her multiplatinum certified music publishing company Hillbilly Culture LLC.
As a firecracker performer and presenter, Amanda is regularly called upon as a non-attorney copyright expert for events including: United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO / GIPA) Copyright Seminar, America’s Small Business Development Center (ASBDC) Annual Conference, Americana Music Festival Conference, and universities world wide.
In 2018, Amanda was tapped by the U.S. Department of State to launch a pilot program combining Arts Envoy diplomacy with intellectual property education called Arts Envoy IPR, which completed its inaugural trip to Romania in December.
