Had a blast serving as a judge for the Sing Your Heart Out competition at the Williamson County Fair yesterday afternoon.
If you thought Nashville was full of great singing talent, you will be equally amazed by the budding vocalists of our neighbors in Franklin and surrounding towns.
The contest was started 15 years ago by former America's Got Talent alumna Taylor Ware to give Williamson County k-12 students an opportunity for an age appropriate place to sing.
Taylor and her team are dedicated to supporting talented area kids and their families by providing a stage to develop the skills they need to succeed.
It was amazing to witness the incredible talent and courage of the young people who competed for the awards on the Nissan Stage.
Of the three divisions, elementary, middle and high school, the talent presented was diverse, unique and shows the discipline these students apply to honing their vocal craft.
Special shout out to the Williamson County Heritage Foundation for asking me to be one of the judges for this year's contest.
It is an honor to help shine a light on the important educational, preservation and community outreach work being done in our beautiful Middle Tennessee.
